The first thing I took a [...]

I just upgraded my Motorola Droid with the latest version of NitroDesk’s “TouchDown” software for syncing with Exchange. This version was specifically designed for use on Android 2.0 devices and my initial impressions are good. If you have used Touchdown in the past, this won’t be a drastic change over version 4.x. With that said, [...]

Dec 022009

I went and picked up the Motorola Droid back in the beginning of the month and I have gotten quite comfortable with it in the 3+ weeks that I have been using it. Although the phone is definitely not without issue (fixes for some are allegedly slated for an update in Decemeber), I like [...]

Dec 012009

Ok… These things have to start somewhere, so i am going to begin with a brief introduction. This is the first entry in a new blog dedicated to three things that I feel many people have a common interest in… Sports, Technology and Business. Why did I choose these topics as the core of [...]

Sports

An important one of the "Three". In fact, the name of our site is inspired by the late coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Woody Hayes. In 1968 in a game against the mighty Michigan Wolverines, that SOB had a 36-point lead late in the fourth quarter and he decided to attempt a two-point-conversion instead of kicking the extra point. When Hayes was asked why he went for two, he responded, "Because I couldn't go for three."

As much as I dislike Woody Hayes and Ohio State, you have to admire a man that doesn't back down. We hope to do the same for you.

Technology

Can you imagine following, let alone watching, sports before technology??? I've been fortunate. ESPN has been around for as long as I can remember. But now, sports information is everywhere. Television is in high definition. They even show us where the first down markers are with the lines on TV. I can watch every game if I want (except the Detroit Lions, because they are blacked out every other week.... Some things never change, I guess.)

Regardless, well talk some tech here as well. Not just sports related tech, but software, hardware, gadgets, phones, services... Whatever floats our boat.

Business

Ah yes. Business. The little thing that makes all of this cool technology and sports come together. We have entrepreneurship and capitalism at its best to thank for all of these great tech inventions that affect our lives... and sports.

This section pretty much gives us the flexibility to write pretty much whatever we want since everything is related to business one way or another. You might see things related to professional development and coaching, or stock or business news. We don't know yet, so stand by and wait to see what happens.
